We’re so excited to welcome you to El Salvador, the country where Kevin’s dad was born and a place that holds deep meaning for our family.
In January 2025, Kevin proposed to Fiorella in Peru, her home country, surrounded by her loved ones at the breathtaking site of Machu Picchu. Now, we feel so grateful to celebrate the next chapter of our journey in another place close to our hearts.
Thank you for traveling near and far to be here—it means the world to us.
Whether you're arriving early, or extending your stay, if you wish to enjoy what El Salvador has to offer outside of Mizata here are some recommendations:
Lago de Coatepeque
Nestled in the crater of an ancient volcano, Lago de Coatepeque is one of El Salvador’s most stunning natural gems. With crystal-clear blue water and breathtaking views, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day trip.
El Tunco
Famous for its surf scene and laid-back vibes, El Tunco is a must-visit coastal town. With black sand beaches, oceanfront bars, and sunset views that are hard to beat, it’s a great spot for a chill beach day or a lively night out.
Tazumal
Step back in time at Tazumal, one of El Salvador’s most important Mayan ruins. Located in Chalchuapa, these ancient pyramids offer a glimpse into the country’s pre-Columbian history—perfect for curious minds and history lovers alike.
El Zonte
Just down the coast from El Tunco, El Zonte is a peaceful beach town known for its surf-friendly waves, cozy cafés, and cool local art scene. It’s quieter than its neighbor but full of charm and great for a mellow afternoon.
Centro Historico (San Salvador)
Explore the cultural heart of the capital in San Salvador’s historic center, where you’ll find beautiful colonial architecture, bustling plazas, and iconic sites like the National Palace and Metropolitan Cathedral. A great way to soak in local flavor and history.

Cruise through lush waterways on a mangrove tour in Barra de Santiago, one of the best spots in El Salvador to see crocodiles in the wild—Kevin’s favorite animal! This peaceful, scenic tour is also great for bird watching and soaking in the beauty of El Salvador’s coastal ecosystem.
Resorts, Day Passes & Parks
Looking to relax? Many of El Salvador’s resorts offer affordable day passes, giving you access to pools, beaches, and on-site restaurants without booking an overnight stay. From water parks like Los Chorros to the colorful slide at Rainbow Slide, there’s something for everyone.
Coastal Cocktail
Guests should aim for cocktail-level dress—with a coastal flair.
Women: midi or maxi dresses, elegant jumpsuits, or dressy separates in light, breathable fabrics.
Men: suits in airy materials like linen or seersucker, with ties optional. No shorts, jeans, or Hawaiian shirts.
Shoes: Skip the stilettos as the ceremony will be on the sand— aim for wedges, block heels, or elevated sandals.
